Embedded into every step of our process, our laboratory is capable of performing a full array of analytics to ensure product integrity and purity, as well as serving as Palmate’s hub of research and development for our scientists and engineers.

All of our ingredients and facilities adhere to rigorous requirements and protocols and hold key certifications and accreditations at state and federal levels. Palmate achieved certifications that provide third-party validation of our commitment to the highest standards of food safety and quality.

BRC Certified

Brand Reputation through Compliance (BRC) Global Standard is one of the primary certifications recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) - a collaboration of the world's leading food producers, brands, and retailers. Palmate is one of five hemp companies in the US, and the only hemp company in Florida, with a GFSI-recognized certification.

GMP Certified

Our GMP certification provides 3rd party verification for procedures and best practices implemented to remove, reduce and control physical, chemical and biological hazards in the processing environment. This assures the identity, strength, quality, and purity of products by requiring that manufacturers adequately control manufacturing operations.

Supplier Approval

Each hemp supplier is thoroughly evaluated to ensure agricultural practices meet our strict food safety standards. This is done so by onsite audits, and documentation review. Furthermore, our Chemists analyze the plant genetics, and post-harvest test results with our state-of-the-art, in-house analytical laboratory to determine the hemp material meets our standards.

Through a stringent vetting process, we’ve refined our hemp supply to include only leading farmers in Florida and Kentucky.

Palmate only sources hemp from farmers that follow Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and adhere to USDA regulations for hemp production.

Analytics & Process Control

The role of our state-of-the-art laboratory doesn’t end at material testing—it's integrated into every single step of our process, optimizing each phase to ultimately produce an ingredient of the highest quality. Our laboratory continually tests the conditions of our hemp storage environment to preserve the potency and integrity of the plant.

Cannabinoids are continuously tested throughout the process ensure optimal potency and minimal loss. Final safety and purity testing of finished ingredients are also performed within our on-site laboratory before further validation by an ISO 17025 certified third-party lab.

Our process is governed by a food safety management system based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Palmate extracts natural cannabinoids using cryo-ethanol extraction—a proven method in producing extraordinarily high-quality cannabinoid ingredients.

Transparent and traceable, the ERP system embedded into our process allows us to track and monitor every ingredient we craft.

The scientists and engineers at our analytical laboratory are continually experimenting and refining our extraction processes to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact. On-site researchers study minor cannabinoids to determine their commercial value and investigate the synthetic and biosynthetic transformation of cannabinoids to enhance their natural properties. But our experts aren’t just confined to the lab bench—they work hand in hand with our clients to develop, test, and refine new cannabinoid-infused products, taking them from prototype to market-ready.
