Why Palmate

The Cornerstone Of Quality, Innovation & Consistency

From our hemp supply to the final packaging, our vertically-integrated extraction process is designed to optimize the safety and consistency of our premium cannabinoid ingredients. That’s why we’ve invested in a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art analytical laboratory built right into our own facilities. Embedded into every step of our process, our laboratory is capable of performing a full array of analytics to ensure product integrity and purity, as well as serving as Palmate’s hub of research and development for our scientists and engineers.

Material Testing

Our engineers review our hemp suppliers' plant genetics, agricultural practices, and post-harvest test results at our analytical laboratory to determine the hemp material that meets our exacting standards. All of the raw hemp material Palmate sources is tested for moisture, active water, CBD content, heavy metals, pesticide residue, and mycotoxins before it can undergo extraction.

At Palmate, we believe that when you start with better, you end with better.

Through a stringent vetting process, we’ve refined our hemp supply to include only leading farmers in Florida and Kentucky.

Palmate only sources hemp from farmers that follow Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and adhere to both USDA regulations for hemp production and U.S. Hemp Authority (USHA) guidelines.

Analytics & Process Control

The role of our state-of-the-art laboratory doesn’t end at material testing—it's integrated into every single step of our process, optimizing each phase to ultimately produce an ingredient of the highest quality. Our laboratory continually tests the conditions of our hemp storage environment to preserve the potency and integrity of the plant.

Lab technicians also ensure cryo-ethanol has been optimally removed through filtration and test both the fresh and recycled solvents used during extraction. Cannabinoids are further tested during decarboxylation, distillation, and (for isolates) crystallization to optimize efficacy and minimize loss. Final safety and purity testing of finished ingredients are also performed by the on-site laboratory before further validation by a reputable third-party lab.

Our process is governed by a food safety management system based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Palmate extracts natural cannabinoids using cryo-ethanol extraction—a proven method in producing extraordinarily high-quality cannabinoid ingredients.

Transparent and traceable, the ERP system embedded into our process allows us to track and monitor every ingredient we craft.

Research & Development

Serving our customers as an industry leader doesn’t just mean envisioning the future of cannabinoids—it means helping to shape that future ourselves. The scientists and engineers at our analytical laboratory are continually experimenting and refining our extraction processes to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact. On-site researchers study minor cannabinoids to determine their commercial value and investigate the synthetic and biosynthetic transformation of cannabinoids to enhance their natural properties. But our experts aren’t just confined to the lab bench—they work hand in hand with our clients to develop, test, and refine new cannabinoid-infused products, taking them from prototype to market-ready.

Our on-site analytical laboratory is the hub for Palmate’s research & development team.

We’re investigating the potential use cases of minor cannabinoids and helping define the future of cannabinoid-infused products.

We work with our clients to help refine their cannabinoid-infused products.
